    Praise & Worship Bass Strings

I used Chromes for a long time playing CCM with my Fender P bass and really liked the tone. I'm debating taking that same bass currently strung with La Bella LTF I think it'll be too flubby for the modern stuff we're playing. Can't go wrong with Cobalt flats I might slap those on my other P...

Is the HX Stomp still a viable “center” to base a pedalboard from?

Stomp gets me close enough to resist buying more pedals. I think the drives sound good paired with other effects within the Stomp but as a base tone for a song, no so much. I run both of my pedal setups around the Stomp. it’s useful for weird things too. My band plays in Eb and if we want to...

    Looking for a chorus pedal....

Have you considered an HX One or an old M5? The L6 modulation effects are really nice. I picked up the Walrus Fundamental Chorus and it's a steal at 99 bucks.

    Apartment dwellers who play gigs

I've owned 210s, 410s and 810s all while living upstairs, no elevator. I will only own small cabs at this point. The 810 is actually easier to get up and down stairs than a 410, as the 410 is asking for an injury. A cart is handy if you're making multiple trips but I can get everything in one...

I’ve never seen one but I sure would like to

I'd love to see a Serek in the wild, even if I'm in the audience

    Worship Bass Pedalboards

This is where I am with it...sorta. I don't have one, but I've been asking questions here and watching Shorts and Reels on it and it doesn't sound great to me. I can see what its trying to accomplish but the tracking always sounds terrible to me. With that said, I'm trying to get something...

In rehearsal - Guitarist insists on playing through PA … right behind my head

Time to dig a hole in the floor so your head isn’t in their way

DiMarzio Model P vs SD Quarter Pounder

I put a Model P in a beat up Squier body with an SX neck that was practically hollow and that thing ripped. Big fan of Dimarzio pickups in general. I had some Ultra Jazz pickups in a fretless and it sang. Model P all day brother.

    New Harley Benton aged/relic'd series

Relic'd the body but not the neck? I guess that keeps the cost low. The heavy relic jobs on the black and white bodies is identical. Not sure I'm feeling these and I generally like the relic'd look.

This Tiny Pedalboard Replaced My Massive Touring Rig - Janek Gwizdala

+1 on the Sonicake Octaver. I’ve tried replacing it and I can’t. It even has a little bit of clean boost to it.

    Worship Bass Pedalboards

I have a synth patch I've built in the Stomp that's Boctaver>Industrial Fuzz in the B Path>Retro Reels and it's pretty cool but definitely not the sound I hear when others play the Microsynth. I'm not necessarily trying to replicate anyone's sound but seeing so many of those things on...

What is it that you guys like about the Microsynth that other pedals don't do? I see a lot of CCW bassists on my Instagram feed and to my ears it sounds like people are mainly using it as a standard octave pedal. I don't have any experience with one so I'm not sure what I'm missing.

NBD - Sire claim another convert

Welcome. I love my P5R. It’s a notch below my CIJ P bass and I’ll never part with the fender

What the absolute least amount of pedals you could get by with?

Get by with? Just a tuner. What I use? Two, but it’s a Stomp and HX One which feels like a sarcastic answer to the question.

Anyone tried the new Seymour Duncan PowerStage 700 BASS amp yet? Looking for real-world impressions!

I love mine. I run it through GK CX cabs and love the tones I get. The drive section is incredibly versatile and sounds great. I like the bigger chassis since it doesn’t bounce off the cabs like some of my other Class D stuff has done. I’m surprised these haven’t sold like crazy.
