It sort of looks like there is a threaded insert embedded in the body. But hard to tell. I'm going to try it if I can find the parts.

That's a great idea. Looks like wrought iron. I just made up something similar for a head droppy SG, and I was searching around to see if anyone had one anything for a bass. I have a droopy Guild B301F. And fretless and droopy don't play well together.

Did you ever find one? I'm looking now.

This is my first post. I was looking around for info on the specifications for the pickup for my B-301F, since I lost the pickup 40 years ago. I have found a guy who is building me a new one. I think it is called ghost guitar pickups or something. In the UK. Don't know if it will be any good...
