Hi guys, someone is offering me a Yamaha BB 405 for about 250 euros in good condition, what you guys think? its a 5 string, looks nice but I dont know how good could be, cheers.

Yeah those Ibanez are pretty confortable and they do sound good, just not my cup of tea look wise and a bit in the modern bright edgy sound side. Cort is another brand to check out, specially used, all the GB line seem pretty decent and good press.

Oh btw, which strings you guys use for a beefier sound? someone told me about DR Hi beans for a lower tension feel with strong low mid punch, is that correct? any other options? maybe go flats?

News flash, a friend is selling me a Cort GB 5 Custom for 600 euros, is about 1250 new, that thing looks like a beats from a different league, am I right? btw Im a guitar player, thats why I dont know much about basses :)

Thanks guys, my conclusion is that those Dunlop SB 40-100 might feel a hair less stiff than DR Sunbeans 40-100 but for players like me who prefer warmer sound the DR seem to be a great fit and then of course we can always try some flats or even tape round for a really smooth feel and retro...

Hey Mark, not sure what agressive slap technique means tbh but here is a video of me playing some slap few months ago, I think I can do it better now, more relaxed. Those Sunbeams look great but I notice most people use hi beans, anyway I like warm sound and low tension so Ima try sunbeams first.
