    Can you do ADGC tuning on a 4 string?

    I'm considering to change the tuning of my 4-string bass. The bass is currently on standard and I want to reach higher range notes without adding more strings to the bass. Is it possible to replace the EADG tuning to ADGC? I believe it may require some shop work cuz of the nut but I want to know...
