    Who is the most successful 'minimalist' bass player you know?

    I am in the camp with Tony Levin, Dino Palladino and Marc Rogers. Marc Is the bass player for Lydia Ainsworth. Listen to "What it is" on her Afterglow album absolutely perfect minimalism with impact. It totally makes the song for me. Tony Levin playing with Peter Gabriel is spot on perfect.
