Hi all. Took me some time to give an update on my endeavours. I had my bass shielded by a top luthier and had the swr baby blue revised by a repairsman somebody recommended for amplifiers and speakers. He replaced the valve and changed one small part and on my request replaced the power cable...

@Axtman Thx for your input. 1. yes increases with gain/eq/volume 2. does not go away. More hiss is added 3. it is affected by gain/eq/volume 4. If i understand microphonics right, no microphonics, just hiss with a low frequency hum (see 1 in previous post)

@agedhorse I do have quite some hiss and noise even at middle gain and volume. Would like to resolve it by changing the tube for starters. Minor intrusion and i'll see where it gets me.
