    First bass!

    Of those you listed I would suggest the Yamaha TRBX, but the 305 verses 304. That low B string is almost a requirement in modern metal. Of course you could always drop tune but I like the versatility of a 5 string. Dollar for dollar the Yamaha TRBX is hard to beat.

    Restoring pawn shop find 87 Fender Jazz Special

    One combo amp that works for bass AND guitar?

    I use the fender rumble 100 for both at home. It has a fabulous tone with blues guitar.
