That is exactly the connect for me here. I am aware the tone is not the typical JB tone. Although, the tone just calls to me. I am curious as to if the tone will not generally work? Is it so individual as to not fitting in with it's JB cousins? Lobster's review is excellent as well as one...

Hi! There are no JMJ's available in my area. I have been playing a Stingray Special and an Old Smoothie, both are incredibly well built and the necks feel amazing. Can anyone compare the high quality feel of the StingRay's with a JMJ? Thanks!

Update to this thread: Probably going to offload most of my gear and look into a G&L CLF Research L-2500 Series 750 :). Thank you to everyone who provided advice and feedback!

From my experience, I can absolutely tell the difference between a high quality instrument. I truly enjoy playing my StingRay's and am always taken back by the craftsmanship. However, I don't know P's. Someone here does :)
