I think you are correct It’s the natural colors of the wood showing there. It’s a 6 string by super long scale on the B since it’s multi scale, hence why he added extra reinforcement. But since I didn’t take a pic of the headstock I might be wrong and might be 7 😂

My update is that my basses will be done by July-August, and as per the mandolin frets, they are pretty cool but I’m too aggressive when it comes to play style so I like the big ol frets! I don’t some variation tho.
