Just a quick update the Hartke head was replaced w/ an Ampeg SVT-3 Pro. I wasn't digging the sound of the tube pre in the Hartke.

What about an '84 Spector NS2? $$$$ I can't think of a better birth year bass for 84

I msg'd Agedhorse and he says the tuner out would be too low a signal and I'd have no EQ from the amp because it's before the input gain control. He worked for Genz-Benz so he should know what he's talking about.

Crobot are some hometown boys that are starting to make good! I used to work with Brandon's (the singer's) mom. They just toured europe w/ Black Label Society. On the road w/ Motorhead ,Saxon & Anthrax now.(Motorhead & Saxon or Anthrax depending on the date)

I'm seeming to like it with just a hint of overdrive I've never really been a fan of an overly distorted bass sound. But even clean my Mockingbird sounds thicker if that's the right word for it. I have a feeling there's gonna be a lot of twiddling with knobs in my immediate future!

That's a shame. I bought my first effects processor from them back in the 90's. It was an ART Nightbass but that's not their fault!!

I did my research and the B7K was the best option I saw for what I'm looking for a bit pricey but I'm hoping it pays off
