Certainly in the UK fender bass tuners are not readily available used The sonic Bronco has a weird small diameter tuner hole I had one fail and couldn’t find one to fit so went for the gotoh set I was happy with the Squier ones which worked great until one didn’t lol

I like my Ibanez shorty one It is too quiet to play with other guitarists Too loud for non guitarists in same house And kinda fragile compared to a Jazz bass on the plus side it makes me smile

I made a few changes to my sonic bronco Tuners were changed for Gotoh GB707 . Pickup changed to a Warman P bass classic Some drilling to the headstock and pick up route were involved I'm kinda pleased with it

Thanks for that I need to take the wilkinsons off and see what’s hiding under them but those measurements invaluable Think I’ve added a location lol

Thanks Kathy I’m in the UK schallers are £65 fender are £98 They do look the same I just swapped tuners in a bronco and not keen to go the trial and error route again lol

Hi Steve Yeah those wilkinsons work perfectly They do look awful to me tho And I’m guessing they are the main reason I got it so cheap the reason I bought it was it looked so good (from the front)

I just got a rescue bass It has some easily cured issues And has had some mods including these Wilkinson tuners Which do work perfectly well but I thought a set of used MIM tuners would be easy to find but no so mostly I’m finding new “fender pure vintage 70s “ anyone know if these would fit...
