Took piano lessons when I was six. Played harmonica, too. Sang in church choir. Started guitar when 14. Started bass when 16. Loved the Beatles. Played in groups in high school and college. Sang melody and harmony. Studied music for a year at a community college. Played in churches, sometimes with students working on advanced degrees in music. Coffee shops with open mics. Also love to dance.

Fender Jazz (was too heavy for me). Tobias Toby Deluxe V (good 5-string solid body). Various amps. I like a bass amp in a chair behind me in the rhythm section. I play a note when the drummer taps the bass drum with his foot (playing in the pocket).
