I just used mine tonight at a block party with a berg AE212. This has to be one of the best sounding amps ever made!!!

Don't overlook a 15". I have a 30# Traynor small block 15 200watt. It sounds great and is very lightweight. A $30 stand can be bought to kick back any combo. Also the GK mb 115 and 112s sound good also and are light weight. You never know when you might be playing outside of the church.

I would definitely look on the used market to get the best deal I could find. I have seen Ampeg BA115HP go for less than $300 used. Look on Guitar center for used stuff, they have low shipping rates. Also watch Craigslist. You also may be able to find someone who may be willing to trade...

I have a 2006 model Am Dlx jazz 5. It is a nice bass, but I loose a lot of the high end with it. The 2014 is way better sounding.
