Ok, thanks. In general terms, are Ampegs cheaper amps any good?

I am looking at £150 ish, and ebay has a 112, 115 Ampeg on at the moment. Size wise, I wish to get it in and out of the boot of my car easily. The BA210sp has built in effects that I may use, but not sure. Ampeg have a good rep, but will they give me the sound.
