I'm playing a Squire P+J Bass and Boss GT-1 plugged into a Rockville 12" powered PA speaker. I use the "Natural Clean" preamp without any effects (the effects sound fine, I like to run without when I'm recording). Rolling off some of the highs on the bass EQ helps in removing some of the noise...
