    Not sure. The pickups are Bartolini, but the preamp has no markings that I can see. Judging by the solder joints I’d say it’s all original so the preamp is likely also Bartolini.

    I completely understand that. I don't play with a that wide of a variety of bass tones, so I go for fat as a default. I'm all about the Jamerson. I gave up the twang years ago. Not proud of it.

    Thanks! I'm not the best slide guitarist out there, but considering I'm a bassist I think the guitar tracks turned out pretty good.

    A wide open P-bass sounds good, rolling the tone off increases mud to my ears. That's all I mean. You might find a use for it, but I prefer to do it at the bass amp. I'm a simple man, though.

    I'm singing and playing all the instruments except the drums. They're all real, no programming. The signal path is Joe Dart MM bass into a very dusty SansAmp Bass Driver pedal into my computer via a cheap Yamaha UR22. I just did this the other day so I've included a picture of the crime scene.

    I have one of these and I love it. I missed the first 50, but got in on the second batch. It's an amazing bass to my ears, but I'm not a progger/metalhead. I like to actually HEAR the bass (as opposed to just the clacky attack), when the rest of the band is playing. I've always loved MM...
