Thanks for all of the feed back. On this Embassy bass, a couple of days after i brought it home(craigslist trade) I plugged in and had no sound at all. I opened it up and found one of the wires going to the output jack had disconnected and i re-soldered it. Im not sure if the muddy/low sound...

Hello! Im brand new to the bass and this site. I have a fender rumble 15w bass amp and an epiphone embassy standard iv 4 string. I am aware of the active pick ups and the 9v. I also unplug the instrument cable and turn down the volume, when done playing, to hopefully keep the battery...
