Okay, I did the mod and first of all, it works! But! The 20k resistor is the critical one, and with a 6k resistor it was TOO loud for me (although I'm using it with a guitar). I ended up using a 10k resistor, and now it's at unity gain, at least with my gear. With the other resistor, I went...
