Mesa 1x15 - Rattling sound caused by loose staple

Changed the title of the thread to try and appease the sensitive folks here. Is that better? Open to suggestions. I’m not returning the cab. That’d be ridiculous. It sounds fine again without the staple. The whole stack sounds monstrous and lives up to the hype. Agedhorse reached out and...

Mesa 1x15 - Rattling sound caused by loose staple

I did think before I posted! Why can we only praise Mesa here? I had a problem with a nearly new cabinet, thankfully resolved it myself the next day, and posted an accurate account of my experience. Definitely not unnecessary. Mesa's QC failed here and they deserve to be called out. If...

Mesa 1x15 - Rattling sound caused by loose staple

I think agedhorse handled it well, I'm not upset and I hope he isn't either. It's awesome to have a resource like him at our fingertips. I'm keeping this cabinet and won't be getting a replacement from Sweetwater. I can't tell you how many times I've had a random issue with a car or other...

Mesa 1x15 - Rattling sound caused by loose staple

Yeah, by lighting it on fire!

Mesa 1x15 - Rattling sound caused by loose staple

lmao, I'd much prefer a nonferrous bag of sticky icky to a staple!

Mesa 1x15 - Rattling sound caused by loose staple

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I disagree with some of you. Manufacturing debris was left inside this cabinet which rendered it inoperable on a gig. That's absolutely on Mesa's assembly and QC inspection processes. I know we all love Mesa here (me included, this stuff slams!), but geez...

Mesa 1x15 - Rattling sound caused by loose staple

I haven't removed the speaker to inspect, and can't see anything from just taking the input panel off. It didn't feel damaged and sounds fine now that the staple is removed.

Mesa 1x15 - Rattling sound caused by loose staple

Had a bit of an issue with my cabinet last night and wanted to share in case my experience can help someone else. Played two gigs last night, the first of which was a simple little country thing. Only pulled out the 115 for this one. Entire gig was problem free. Packed up and scooted across...

New MESA BOOGIE release - MESA/Boogie Bass 800D - 800W Bass Amp Head

With great power comes great responsibility. I'll probably find it hard to leave any of it at home. Some of the guitards I play with like to let the volume creep. Fight fire with fire?

New MESA BOOGIE release - MESA/Boogie Bass 800D - 800W Bass Amp Head

Picked this head up off a gentleman in the classifieds here. Paired it with the subway 215, it’s everything I hoped it would be. The GK Legacy 210 + 210 treated me well over the years, but it’s really modern sounding, and everything I play calls for more vintage tones. This scratches that itch...

Bought a Subway 15, and still feel like the bottom end is lacking

Can I hijack to ask a related question rather than start a new thread? I just got the 800D and a 215 subway cabinet. It’s killer! Super deep and punchy, and I’m seeing the magic of a hpf for the first time. The 215 is a little bit much for rehearsals and small venues, so I just ordered the...

Can I get some opinions on this crack?

This seems like a good deal on a Epiphone Rumblekat, but I'm obviously concerned about that crack. Does it just look like a finish crack like the seller says in the listing, or could it be the fretboard delaminating or something worse? [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

Something similar just happened to my brand spanking new 4003 FG. Had it in my lap installing the treble bezel when my 2 year old came in the room. Wasn't paying close enough attention, and before I knew it she had my little metal machinist's ruler in her hand and was "helping" daddy... Put a...

New bass. Is this buzz normal?

But sweetwater has a 55 point inspection! That’s impossible! I hope they make it right for you. I would’ve been taken care of better by them. Wildwood has a 2 day ‘acceptance period’, afterwards no returns. They did pay return shipping to Reverend, so that’s nice. But wildwood also boasts of...
