Thanks everyone. I've been practicing with the treble turned up to pick up on inconsistencies, and there is some improvement. Still not that all that consistent though, my index sounds exactly like a pick and I have to pluck at a slight angle and not dig too deep.

Hey all, I've been playing for several months now, and I've noticed something; my index and middle finger while plucking sounds very different. The middle finger has a more dull thud, which i prefer, but the index finger has a more bright/zingy sound to it. I've trimmed and filed my index...

It's a small hole, about the size of an ant and it's on the bottom of the body. Would it be good if the exposed wood was given some sealer like tru oil?

I have a few basses that have a couple of dings. While cleaning them off I realized one of them had the finish peeling off, exposing the wood below it. Should I do anything to patch up the bits of exposed wood, like how you should fix a car that had its paint come off, or is it okay to leave it...

Hi TalkBass! Happy new owner of an Ibanez EHB1500. Had to do some fiddling to get the knobs to behave properly. I still do have one thing tho, since this is my first active bass, I have no other references. The buzzing only happens when I play a string and move the tone knob in passive mode...
