Mainly been looking at the second hand market. Found a couple of years old deluxe jazz for half the price of a new model. Personally Ive never got on with music man basses. Have played a few laklands but Ive had no luck finding them second hand.

I play all different types of music, I'm looking for an all rounder work horse. Budget wise I'm not looking to break the bank too much. I realise that quite obviously there are basses that are better then a deluxe. Just wondering if there are any hidden gems out there in a similar price bracket.

Didn't end up leaving it off over night. I put it back on, re strung and gave it another shot. Eventually managed to get a 1/2 turn from it. Left it over night and the wood seems to be settling quite well. Going to have another look at it later, can hopefully start giving it a proper set up...

So just gave it another go, using both adding to the bow and taking away. Taking away, like having strings on seemed to work, it felt like it moved a bit. I'm going to let it sit for a while and see how it looks. Should I wait untill later on tonight or leave it untill morning?

Sweet, will give the adding more back bow method a try in a bit. The neck isn't currently on the bass, had to take the string off to get to the truss rod. Will give an update once I've given it a shot. Thanks for all the advise so far!!!!
