I hear you! And if they do, MM is closer to the bridge than what I got here and doesn't sound like a MM at all. Overall it is not that expensive to make if you know how to or have someone to route the body. Sleep on that!

Correct. Body had to be routed for the pickup itself, as well as pickguard cut to fit the pickup so close to the P pickup. Control cavity is big enough to fit a tone control too or some type of preamp (would still need a route for a battery) - but I never use a tone knob, so decided to keep it...

Thought I'd share my modified P5. Screwed in the pickguard just a moment ago! EMG GZR and EMG MMHZ. Blend and volume. Schaller tuners and Gotoh bridge - both of which required drilling. Really happy with the way it turned out!
