    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

Just beautiful. Chrysler had a color called "Plum Crazy" they used on some of the early '70s muscle cars. Kind of reminds me of that. I want one! :)

Underrated but vital bassists UK/Ireland thread.

Tony Butler got mentioned. I'm good to go in this thread.

Show “your” amazing guitar pictures… cool finishes!

I don't own these but consider them amazing. I have long wanted to add an electric 12 to the fold. Love the Fender hockey stick 12's. Lake Placid Blue would be a bonus but not at those prices....argh. Of course a Fireglo Ric 12 would be fantastic. (Test driving one in a store).

“I can’t stand them!” The voices you love to hate.

Morrissey's ultra repetitive phrasing and melodies pretty much limited my liking of The Smiths to just a couple of songs. I can only take Zep era Robert Plant for a few tracks before I need a break. A little too screechy for my taste.

As a bassist, who are your favourite drummers?

Pete de Freitas is my favorite by a long shot. Everyone else falls in line behind him. He left us way too soon.😞

    that first ding

One time, our drummer in a fit of rage when his snare broke during a show, flung it towards the side of the stage. Unfortunately during its magnificent flight, it caught the headstock of my bass. We laugh about it now but at the time it added some quick wear and tear to my Stingray!

Do the new ones have XLR outputs like the originals?

The band was called "The Jupiters". Far out man!

That was quick! Thank you both. Didn't know Teisco had an offset that early on.

Bass V posted this in the misc forum, photo is dated 1964. For some reason it's bothering me. 😆 Anyone know what it is? The half moon side fret markers seem Gretsch-ish but that headstock is funky. The stripey pickguard is unusual as well.

@One Way I'm in the Jetglo camp as well. It's scientifically proven that black basses sound just a little better.

That makes a lot of sense. @Bass4: No nitro on the new ones as far as I know.
