    Help with port calculations

Thanks for clearing that up.. I'll stick with the calculations that are based on the driver's T-S parameters. I have no problem with rear ports.

    Help with port calculations

Not much room in front. I'll just go with the two big holes in the back. Easy peasy👍 Much appreciated!

    Help with port calculations

Thanks much for the quick reply! 6" diameter is a bit big for my available baffle space. This cab won't be near any back wall. I can rear port, no problem. The cab's rear panel is 5/8" if that makes much difference? (It's well braced.) Rear port locations: Any preference? Would appreciate...

    Help with port calculations

    Thick Inflexible Picks.That's the way.

I'm late to the game, but here's a comment from another thread about the supposed graphite content of Telefunken vs Adamas: "I was talking with the president of Telefunken at the AES convention a few years ago and he gave me a sample pack of six styles of the graphite picks. He told me that they...

    Thick Inflexible Picks.That's the way.

Much thanks to gebass6 for starting this thread and then reviving it after a 6 year pause!! A life-long picker, my first pick in the early '70's was a small Carol Kaye teardrop with her name on it (long before personalized picks were popular.) As thicker picks became more available I moved to a...

    Going with flatwounds

Reminds me of a Trinidadian friend who was learning bass and playing soca. The bandleader said, "If you're not sure of the note, just thump on the low strings."
