What I've heard from others too. Wish that was the case with mine (no pun intended). I think it got dragged around by luggage handlers a bit too much, had a completely separated edge on the hinge side of the lid within the first month of my owning it.

I travel often for my main gig with a Chadwick Folding bass, which works out great for the style this band plays. Problem is the case is breaking down and flaking off (sometimes huge) chunks of feathery fiberglass and cobwebs that get all over my travel bags, into my clothes, on hand, in eyes...
