    For sure man..Only bad thing is that 90% of the time a bass player is running direct, I forgot to put that in there.. So if there is a pa, your great sounding amp just turned into your monitor. But I agree if it is done right I love it...

    I’m with the other guys, if you are running direct then set it up however you want. If you are using the cabinets as you source of sound instead of the PA then yes it does matter, and both can be right. Lifting a cabinet off the floor will reduce certain frequencies and add to others...

    For starters much of the sound depends on the head that you are using. Ampeg uses paper cone speakers for the svt, this provides a smoother sound than the Harke. The Harke load theirs with a metal cone speaker that will be a bit punchier however, I find to be harsh and abrasive after a while...
