15 years and counting for me! I started with a Peavey Fury II in 1998 then got my '99 Fender US Jazz in 2002, my search was over. I've modded the heck out of it over the years (BAII bridge, EMGs, converted to BEAD tuning, etc) but still that same bass. I can't imagine playing another one honestly!

I use GHS Bass Boomers BEAD set (.060-.126)! I really dig the tone of Boomers on my main bass (really only bass I play live) and love that I can actually buy a BEAD set without worrying about singles!
