I was in Beijing last week and every guitar store was almost exclusively Fender. Sure, there was one ESP and one Yamaha store, but everything else was Fender. Us complainers may be right, but we’re to minority. Most people don’t care.

Hello from 20 years after the original post. I’ve do got the Schecter bass. I tried EVERY EMG pickup and settled on Seymour Duncan Blackouts. They just sound fantastic immediately. The Blackouts are definitely loud!

It’s a 5 string, which makes it that much harder to play than the Jaguar bass, which has an ultra narrow neck!
