The bass is ready for final sanding! I don't remember what all I haven't shown, but I got the heel shaping done. Drilled more holes Started a truss rod cover (this is still rough) Magnets and shielded the cavities (probably should've masked it off, but I figured I need to sand anyway)...

I did the fretwork, minus polishing. Got the neck glued in and started shaping the heel. Still have some more work to do.

Done shaping the neck! I did it a little different than I normally do. I used the belt sander to rough in the first 2 facets (I seem to try something different every time) and cleaned up with the shinto rasp and a sanding block. After all the facets were done I scraped and sanded.

Well, that is the cleaner end of the workbench... Where does everyone store their jigs? I'm mostly just trying to keep them off the floor in case the basement ever floods.

I don't do a lot of fret pulling, but when I do, I use mini end nippers.

I caved and got one, but I miss LMI's coils of fretwire (vs the straight sticks). I had a couple I had to trash and redo too. I filed a little divot into the bottom edge of one and another I cut the tangs too far in and it wasn't gripping the fret slot at the end. And yeah, it always takes...

I obviously didn't get this done on time for the deadline, but I'm making progress. I spindle sanded the body, forgot to take a picture. It still needs some smoothing out, but it got it most of the way there. Then I switched back over to the fretboard. Tim from Eads Instruments recommended...
