I have / had EMG GZR, Fralin, DiMarzio Model P, Fender 62, all great choices. My current favorite is the Fender Player II pickup! Just the right amount of fat, has a nice growl when you dig in.

Well, 2 weeks later they finally replied and sent me a download link for the videos... BUT they only sent a link for .zip file 2 out of 2... :mad:

Yeah, I read that he is no longer involved with them. They didn't care to reply to my messages, I just lost $30 on videos that I'll never get. Not a lot of money, but still... F*** em, I'll buy Ed Friedland's method instead.

I have an account on their website and looked everywhere. The only download I have access to is for the .pdf files, unfortunately.

You can order them on a thumb drive indeed, but I bought the downloadable version to avoid shipping fees and delays. I thought it would be simpler that way!

I bought the 1st pack last week from the Jeff Berlin Music Group website (.pdf files and videos), but I never received a download link for the videos. I only got the .pdf files. Sent them 2 messages via the website and 1 email to John McCracken. No one replied... Did anybody have the same...

I did just that and it worked great! I usually use this trick on my new flatwound sets to tame them a bit, but I had never tried on rounds.

The tone is very close, especially when playing with a pick and digging in!

I had a similar experience with a Mighty Mite fretless Jazz neck that I put on a Squier VM. The truss rod was maxed out and it kept bowing even with extra light strings. I sold the bass for cheap and built my PJ. The AllParts neck is great, though, but they don’t sell fretless P necks right now...

@LeChuck3, curious: did you get your parts and finish the assembly? pics? how does it play? TIA It turned out extremely well! Plays great and sounds great. I put liquid paper dots on the side of the neck for the first, 11th and 13th « frets », I find it helps with intonation.

I bought a red one from my local music store tonight and it seems like they made a new batch. No more Affinity logo on the headstock and the stock pickup is dead quiet. No need to replace it with a hotrail. What a nice surprise!
