From what I've looked up of his gear it'd be an actual compressor. He also uses a Mesa Boogie Subway D800+ (iirc)

Heh. That's me. Our guitarist was here in town, but then for family and work moved two hours away, so sometimes when we have a one night thing at a small place that seats like 50 for which we're getting like $150 it's not worth it to drive down etc, we do the 3 piece sans lead...I guess I don't...

Yup. And they are many. (While we're at it, Vive la France! I once played a Claude Bolling piece, Baroque and Blue, back in the day when I was in a jazz band.)

I'm curious what more experienced bassists than I think about using all-in-one digital pedals, like the Zoom B3/B3n. My band plays a wide variety of pop and rock, and so something that's an all-in-one is attractive for the versatility. Thoughts?

You'd think the guy would at least offer free shipping on that. The $75 is almost strangely specific.
