Got the DE bass in and used it at the gig last night. I wasn't really expecting much, but holy cow this thing sounds great. When I first started playing, the guitar player looked at me and was in just as much disbelief as I was on how awesome it sounds. I mean, I really did not expect that...

Pulled the trigger on a David Ellefson 4 string. Import model. We'll see when it comes in if it's as good as everyone has talked about. Shoot, with the 20% off I got from MF, I figure I can't go too wrong.

I have a lh1000 and had a Carvin bx1200, (I know, not the bx1500). I prefer the lh1000, with all the e.q. options on the Carvin, I feel I can shape the tone far more with just three knobs on the lh1000. It amazes me how much tone flexibility is in there. I do recommend reading up on the e.q...

No, sorry, it did not wear out like that. It was just a sunburst 2010 Jazz 5. I do see though over time how that finish could wear pretty good.

I played both on a few tours in modern country, (well, 2003/2004) so that may not be too modern I guess. I always preferred the 55-02 when doing the newer stuff and the 55-01 when doing the older stuff. Now, that being said, my 55-02 has the Bartolini's in it.
