Thanks John, Its way cool looking. I would imagine that the plastic cover on the amp makes is sticky so when your really rippin' it ain't going to move. So, have you reworked the amp yet. (replaced the caps and the tubes) I was also thinking of a Traynor to. I seen some of them on craigs...

Thanks for the tip John, for me its just that sweet tube sound. nothing like it on earth. I just love to play and see the output tube pulsate with the purple glow... It will be a bit before I can get one, gotta get some surgery done and goet back to work to live my dream....

To put your fears to rest Bassman, Yes I do, I took electronics back in high school circa 1983 cut my teeth on tube stuff before they introduced us to solid state. Ten years later I took electricity. I am a maintenace electrician by trade and most of the equipment I work on is 480 volt 3...

bolt what were the years that they were manufactured?

were they just a bass amp or did they do stuff for guitars to? I love the tube sound. I get mezzmerized by the purple glow of the outputs (power tubes)

I am looking for opinions. I have a dream of rebuilding a tube bass amp. Which one would you guys would say the best brand is? Best sound? :D

If you have access to a can of contact cleaner you can hose them and it will go away. spray it as you move the pot stop to stop. But new parts never hurt anybody right.

If the stuff is still "new" under warrenty take it back to the shop where you made your purchase and they should fix it or replace it. Don't open up the amp head unless its out of warrenty because that would void it

Lowend is steering you in the right direction. If you have any electrician friends have them ring out your patch cords with a mutimeter and flex them around to see if they get shorted out or go open. If the cords are ok then look at the head to see if the jack is loose. There has to be a way...
