This is my first partscaster build. PJ Bass with Active EMG's PJCSX and BCQ system. Body is from a Fender II modified PJ Bass. Neck is a Chinese Roasted Flamed Maple. Hipshot bridge and tuners. I also added JTEX Headamp to it.

After installation of the HA-1X it ended up not being able to switch the electronics on and off as you mention. Andreas Richter was very helpful as I contacted him for support. I ended up installing a toggle switch to power both the HA-1X and the Pre-Amp when I am practicing with the Headphones...

I tried the Richter Electronics HA-1X. The nice thing is that it also has an AUX in so you can have all your practice session with only the bass and your phone to play the backtracks. I had to create a cavity in the back of my Squier Classic Vibes 70s Jazz bass V to accommodate the HA-1X jacks...
