I run my pitchblack in my effects loop and it works great. Simply with a cable from the effect send into the tuner and then a cable right back to the effect return (if you have effects put the tuner first in the chain). I'm not familiar with your amps, but I think it's usually this simple.

I second the comment on Pete Spaar being a great teacher. He is incredible with both technique and theory, and can teach many different styles. I'd suggest saving up for a semester of lessons with him at U.Va., which would probably wind up being cheaper than weekly individual lessons. Word of...
