upright bass - laminated
P-bass 4-string, G&L Jazz 4-string, 5-string Stingray, Lightwave fretless, Yamaha semi-hollow BEX4, Vester 4-string acoustic (it was so cheap and beaten up, I couldn't just leave it there). I have a couple of Markbass heads, Taurus Cube head, GK RB800, GK 115mb cab, Schroeder cab (1 x 12"), custom cabs 1 x 15" + HF driver, 1 x 12", a combo 15"&18",

Favorite Genres

Many; Funk, Motown, country (traditional, uptown and also Americana), rock, blues, jazz, folk -- like what North Americans call folk music -- but also several genres of folk music from various cultures, such as reggae, klezmer, etc...

I like composing and playing various things, but I really like listening to singer/songwriter stuff. Gotta say, I LOVE Lyle Lovett, John Hiatt, Kris Kristofferson, and I would take the time to check out anyone who got a gig on Austin City Limits.

Previously Owned Gear

Warwick Corvette 5-string, Human Bass 5-string,'72 P-bass, '65 Jazz, Armen fretless 4-string, couple of Warwick Jonas Hellbourg amp and cabs, several Fender amps, blah, blah... The only thing I miss is the Yamaha TRB5p -- didn't like the 20mm spacing at the bridge, but other than that, it was a GREAT instrument AND I cannot get that grunt in anything else -- I thought if I changed the bridge I'd have to shave the neck... but not true. I did on another bass and the strings were not too far from the edges of the neck.

G.A.S. List

Walter Wood amp, Luis & Clarke upright, possibly a Gold-Tone 25" scale with the rubber strings -- I would take another Yamaha TRB5p.
