Here the sound in clean gain :) (there is no distortion, only light saturation of the signal). I simply reduced the Gain knob and increased the Master volume ; the EQ knobs are identical to the settings for the cover of Meshuggah. Also attached the bass covered track.

6thplanet Here another record (I made a cover of Meshuggah) ; straight into the amp (I used Ashowdown DynIRs from Two Notes). And the schematic attached also

Yes, of course, it'll be a pleasure:) I didn't reinvent the wheel :D

    I had Gain knob at 3o'clock and Master knob at 8o'clock : 4 6L6GC tubes for 120W

I would say vintage  Here a short https://youtube.com/shorts/fs9W3xe3PKM?si=kgWEPcU5nnRUwYA6 I'll do a YouTube video in the future to present the project and some audio tests :).

https://youtube.com/shorts/xlTuY0lgJ20?feature=share Also, the reason that I was a little afraid is because the tubes are kinda hot. They are not really red plating (I checked what red plates look like), but yeah I though the temperature should be like medium (I'll note the temperature if I...

@Wasnex I did more precised measurements : yesterday, I measures the voltage drop by measuring the voltage on center tap then on tube plate with the ground as reference. But the voltage may vary slightly because of the high caliber. Today I measures the voltage directly between the center tap...

When I designed it some months ago, I was wondering if I should add these shunt resistors or Banana sockets/plugs in order to ease the current measurements in power tubes. But I prefered to have less connections. Maybe I'll think about it next time ^^" ahah 2mm Banana socket / 2mm Banana Plug

According to the datasheet of the output transformer, the resistance of Red/Blue and Red/Brown are good : 13.5 Ohms and 14.5 Ohms (https://www.hammfg.com/files/parts/pdf/1760W.pdf) . So with only 1V of drop on it, I will have my 35mA per tubes, compared the 2V drop I measured. I'll need to be...

Hmmmm ...... didn't think about it >_>. Screw me I guess... by the way, maybe it will be lower when I found my problem. Gonna tell you =)

The 10mA is just a quick idea I got when I read the charts of 6L6GC. But indeed, it's a mistake from me to have this number in my head, just based on a chart. The screen is the thing I'll check tomorrow since it's a common point. You got a point on the fact my Screen voltage and plate voltage...

Hello people ! It was a long time. I'm giving you some news about my custom bass tube amp :) I finished to wire it, and started to do some measurements of verification. Voltages are good, but the current in tubes is quite too high even with my bias trim pot as max position for -58VDC. Here...

I though about adding this option, because I listened to amp demos on Youtube of Fender Bassman 50W amps and I kinda liked their sound. But like Wasnex said it, I find this a bit too advanced for my design. The fact to remove tubes from the ouput transformer change the current consumption and...

All my gratitude for your goodwill! And all my respect to you all who build tube amps because it was the only components available, regarding all the difficulties you endure with this technology: low frequency noise from the "not efficiently" rectified 50Hz/60Hz power supply and from filament...
