yea it's been set up already, i got it new from the shop not long ago. if i set it too high the strings might end up hitting the pickup when they vibrate right?

could you explain what difference this would make? and how i could go about adjusting pickup height?

the pickups are for my essex sjb 75 vyw. i use a 30w ashdown combo, medium gauge roundwounds and i'm looking for a powerful, hi-mid to bright kind of tone (if there's even such thing). basically i'd prefer the output to be higher than my current stock pickups, is there any other way around this...

are the Essex stock pickups good enough? i personally find the output too low...:hmm:

hey what's the difference between the SJB 75 and 57, i'm not too sure coz when i called the shop yesterday to check whether the bass was still there they told me it was a 57..

haha you're right! i'm on the other side of the world in Singapore! can anyone tell me what the model and body wood type of this one's called? there's nothing said on the headstock and the arrogant snobs at the shop told me 'the wood type on such a cheap bass wouldn't have mattered' >=(

haha having troubles posting. argh. nevermind haha. can't tell though, it says "vintage series" and "custom handmade" on the headstock. and it's in vintage yellow, given it's not that common a colour, could someone tell me which one did i buy exactly? thanks!
