Favorite Genres

Preferably stuff that's aggressive and edgy without being cliche HM or thrash. I like music that's interesting or challenging to listen to and or play. As long as it pushes my buttons it could be almost anything.

Just getting back into it after a lay off and currently looking for a band.

Previously Owned Gear

A long list, but most notable: 2 Status series II (fretted and fretless), Ashley Pangborn Warlord, Schecter (unsure of model)....and a few others.

G.A.S. List

Very happy with what I have now, but I'm looking for a D class power amp to replace my RA250.
I've always regretted getting rid of the 2 Status series II's and would love to replace them. I've always liked the look of the old Guild basses, but never played one.

Influences and Teachers

My inspiration to learn to play bass was my introduction to Rush, back in the early 80's and learned the hard way by spending hours trying to play along to that. I guess if I said that Geddy Lee taught me to play there would be an element of truth in that.
Another bass hero for me is the late Paul Raven of Killing Joke, Prong, Pig Face...etc. A totally different style, but I loved what he did.
I like plenty of other bands, but Rush and Killing Joke are the big two. The choice of which I like best really depends on my mood.

Hobbies and Interests

The Mrs, My dog(s), model making (also my job), history, sport (mostly football and boxing) and a few other odds and ends.
