Ideed, Aguilar are kinda neutral and has no personality (IMO), but are great if you use a lot of effects and stuff. I'm enjoying a lot more the EMG TW now, after reducing the gain of the tone pump. My 6LX are sounding great, so no need to change the preamp (for now)

Indeed, and you can see another difference on the back, near the place the wings join with the body. On the USA, is more "smooth"

Some time ago I asked about a Euro LX6 2020. I ended up buying it, for 2150.00 US. The bass is in mint condition, and it has dual EMG TW pickups and a tone pump. When it arrived, it had a very low action, with lots of fret buzz and a overpowering sound, way too hot. After I send it to my luthier...

Expensive Bass and Cheap rig or Mid Level Bass and Higher End Rig? Which way to go?

Keep the Spector, not in a million years I would exchange a Spector with a museum piece.

Indeed, but I use a Tc polytune for muting.

It makes sense to have dual volumes. All the basses I ever own had volume/balance configuration, it escaped my mind about volume/volume. Thanx all for the help. The owner said it has a tone pump pre-amp in it.

That was what I was wondering. From the EMG site about the TW: "When using two of TW Pickups in the same instrument it is not recommended that our BT or BQ Systems be used. Each pickup requires a push/pull pot for switching from single coil to humbucker, so the balance control included with the...

I'm used to it, that's the problem to play 6-string bass. My Spector weight probably more than that. Nothing a padded strap can't fix

I had a question. I found this listing on Reverb for a 2019 euro LX6. The price is great, but he said that the bass has EMG TW pickups. Doesn't the LX comes with EMG DC pickups?

Never saw a Ibanez with big splits, we have with big break, that is similar. Looks like a kinda of sandblast finish. Very nice looking bass

    The Ibanez Club (Part 6)

Playability is pretty much the same between 3506 and 5006. The 1005 is a little different, but all these bass don't fight you, they don't limit you, like a Ibanez standard would (Yeah, I had a 605E). The finish on the 5006 is crazy, is the best of all 3. The 3506 is very nice, but is the...

    The Ibanez Club (Part 6)

Just got my hands on a SR5006. Now I have 3 generations of Ibanez prestige bass. SR1005 from 2008, and SR5006 from 2011 and a SR3506 from 2025

Indeed, I tried 5 Ibanez with big single, all were noisy on one pickup. I believe the big split should be noiseless
