Ideed, Aguilar are kinda neutral and has no personality (IMO), but are great if you use a lot of effects and stuff. I'm enjoying a lot more the EMG TW now, after reducing the gain of the tone pump. My 6LX are sounding great, so no need to change the preamp (for now)

Indeed, I tried 5 Ibanez with big single, all were noisy on one pickup. I believe the big split should be noiseless
