By the way, I heard that there's a thin coat of poly underneath the nitro, for long-life purposes. I hope this isn't true, and would be interested to hear from anyone in the know.

Yamaha TRB JP2 - unbelievably good build quality - a Ferrari of the bass world - but it doesn't hang right, the upper bout not coming close to the 12th fret, and the tone sounds a bit compressed. MY Overwater makes it look silly . How they spent all that time designing that bass and didn't...
