I love playing and listening to bluegrass and old time music.. I flatpick guitar and play a little mandolin, but have never played the upright bass.. I’d like to learn how and have been considering buying a use, relatively inexpensive bass that I can haul around to the festivals with and not worry about the elements ruining it.. I want to spend enough to get a decent playing instrument though that performs well.. any advise is certainly appreciated!
