Mike, I always use foam under the tailpiece in the studio. and usually a piece under the fingerboard also. Looks terrible but it is an audio recording....thank goodness.

So far I have woven a peice of foam through the after-length of the strings. Also put on a set of Zyex's I had laying around the house.....It has helped tremendously! Love this bass!

i.e. on an up tempo song, I do not let one note ringing until the next so I "cut off" or "mute" the note. i do not feel the bass is responding to the mute quick enough....still ringing a bit

I have a set of the Zyex at home that they sent me to try. This may be a fine opportunity to put them to use.
