    Old Vox Amps

    I have recently acquired a Vox ac100 from 1965 but the pre amp tubes have not been working since 1990. I am planning on replacing them but I am wondering which tubes would work best. The 3 tubes are two 12au7/ecc82s and 1 ecc83. Could I use any ecc82 and ecc83 for and vintage vox?

    Thanks man, Ill check those things. My other basses are quite heavy, and I dont mind. Why are the lighter ones worth more?

    Im going to try out a P-bass from 78 tomorrow that I can buy for way under 1000 euros (1370 Dollars). Since you are the experts on here, are there any known shortcomings in these series that I should look out for?
