I've been playing guitar and bass for about 37 years. No music theory training so I'm basically a monkey using a type writer. I can however play some fairly complicated stuff (for me) I.E Rush, Led Zepp, etc. I typically pick out a cool song I like, find some tab for it and figure out how to play it. I have been jamming with a pretty good guitarist for about a year now. We've finally secured a cool drummer and singer. We finally have enough songs under our belt to start playing live so that will be my next step.
