Ok cool, i have 4 holes + the selector... Is a blend better than a selector then or?

Question on the BQC system.. it comes with a blend and a master tone.... Currently I am Vol, Vol with a selector switch... A selector switch is basically the blend right so... should i stick with vol vol?

I would get a tech to sort that for me haha :) Problem is my current pickups are active, i would love to have the passive option though if i do change the pickups!! Cheaper option is obviously just to change to a simpler preamp...

The bqc would actually be wayyyy simpler than my current setup!

Problem is instead of being manual, im good at breaking stuff! Would not have a clue how to run them both through just one! What i dont understand from reading the BTC spec is... i have no blend control, mine is vol, vol, stacked bass trble boost/cut for neck, same for bridge and then a 3...

mmmm! See i would love to just change the preamp first! For my HB's is there any particular preamp you would suggest...? Problem is my HBS both have an individual bass/treble cut & boost so its super complex.. hence why i would rather just get a boost only preamp..

ah right i see... well id be geting the shop to sort all that as im useless so... Which option would be better?

Im looking to buy an aguilar obp1 preamp( i only want boost). Say i bought it from bestbass gear i would choose the option of 2 Pickup, 4 Knob, 1 Switch... V, V, T, B a/p sw I have found it on ebay for half the price but... there are no options to choose.. it just looks like it comes...

How do these sound in passive mode...? As im looking to simply go back to passive!

Cool cheers guys! How different would the SGD pickups be to my HBs... i mean will it be dramatically different?

Do you think if i just changed the preamp... this would drastically alter the tone... or maybe just an easier preamp? Or is it more the pickups?
