Back in the Rollins Band days in was using the "green" Big Muff pedal for my full "thick" distortion and was using the Mesa Boogie V Twin for my "blues" half distortion. At times I used the built-in distortion on the Ibenez WH 10 wah-wah pedal. I personally have never found the Rat useful...
