    Are 5 strings on the way out?

    I play lefty, and I have a hard enough time finding a four-string, it is quite difficult and expensive to find a 5 or 6, although I would love to try one someday.

    I'd bring them all and experiment. More importantly, let the other musicians hear the sounds and they'll let you know, if they are a cooperative group!

    You can get a "serviceable" Epiphone acoustic that will play well and have decent quality for under $500, but I'd stay away from the cheaper brands!

    I just wanted to say that even the lefty SX I bought for $129 plays really well, and I have gotten a lot of complements for it's looks and sound. I only bought it for fun, but now my band really needed a bassist for certain songs, and it more than does the job!
