    I have a Bombshell. Tone is great, strings are floppier than medium scale, but not a problem, especially if you play closer to the bridge, and it sounds classic Stingray. It's a keeper.

    Problem with a 5 string short scale (given the additional string is on the bottom end i.e. B string) The B would be too floppy. Not practical.

    I am fortunate to have purchased one if the 105 that were made. Ergonomically rhe best bass that I have ever played. Classic Stingray sounds. Beautifully crafted. It's a keeper.
