You would think it would be fairly obvious. But, as you can see the wires do tend to be more to one side but not so intuitive as "install this way only"

This might sound silly, but when installing new PU's (Bartolini X45CBJD) does it matter which direction the exterior name on the pickups is facing? Not sure if they are internally wired to respond differently to certain frequencies at each end of the pickup. Also, has anyone out there used...

Different tuning = different string tension = ease of playing (or lack of)
